Summer Hat Trends for 2011
Wider brims compose most of the In list in casual hats this summer. Not only are they great for shading your face and neck from the youth-stealing UV-B rays that age us, they also coordinate well with almost every casual look you want and work well with different materials and clothing styles. However, some terrific narrow and mid-width brims are peeking over heads this season as well.
The perennial wide, floppy brimmed sun hat by Gabriella, whether straw or cloth, can be worn snugly positioned on top of your head or set back for a more innocent look. Unless you purchase a hat specifically made for a particular piece of clothing, dont mix stripe with stripe. Keep one or the other in a solid design.

Locks of Love Lost
On the prowl recently for an Art Deco ring, I found myself at Erie Basin, a shop in Red Hook, Brooklyn, that sells surprisingly affordable antique jewelry. Their Deco diamonds were nice — they looked like they were mined from the top of the Chrysler Building — but what really grabbed me was a very old, and very peculiar, signet ring in rose gold. Its band was filled with hundreds of braided threads the color of raw umber. Silk? I hazarded. Actually, explained Russell Whitmore, the shops owner, thats hair.

Colleen Rooney, wife of footballer Wayne Rooney, has launched for the online retailer Littlewoods her latest collection. The WAG turned designer’s line includes some pieces we have come to recognize and adore including a beautiful £69 black fitted jacket and £45 denim jeans that flare.
As well as the more conservative numbers there are some that are more out of the box with a £55 blue playsuit and maxi dress that is pure bang on trend with bird print for only £99.
